Where to Stay in Fresno?
Location
River Park area is one of the safest areas in the City. This is the preferred spot for both leisure and business travelers as this location offers easy access to Freeway (hwy 41), River Park Shopping Center, Movie Theater, 50+ dining options, and Woodward Park. It is also the best place to stay when traveling to visit Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, and Kings Canyon National Park.
Clovis is generally a safe area. I would recommend Old Town Clovis if you want to take a good walk, visit local stores, and a little night life. They have the best antique stores and Farmer's Market on Friday Nights during the Summer.

I'm sure you already have an idea of which hotel I would recommend and will probably think I am biased, but here is why I would suggest trying Hyatt Place Fresno at least once.

It has a Work Station with complimentary computers and a printer to use, a private nook (also called Gallery Library), Free Wi-Fi, and Free Parking, making it the perfect hotel for business individuals. The property also has up to 1,418 sq. ft meeting room space, an outdoor patio, indoor heated pool, 24-hour fitness room, and a coffee-to-cocktail bar.
The hotel offers spacious modern rooms with One-King or Two-Queen Hyatt Grand Beds, Cozy Corner Sofa Beds, 55" HDTV with Chrome Connectivity, and Mini Fridge. This is in comparison to a suite to many hotels around town.
Bar Food & Drink Recommendations
I personally love the Baked Brie, Chicken Tortilla Soup and Fish Tacos! The burger and parmesan fries are also amazing!
The Mondavi Canvas Wines are very popular but as I prefer my fruity cocktail drink, I must suggest my favorite Strawberry Mule, September Rose or Cool as a Cucumber!
