What Shall We Wear?

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

— Matthew 6:25 NIV

As I started thinking about content to share, I wrestled with authenticity and fame. Why am I doing this whole blog thing? The more I study the Word and strive to get closer to Christ, the more I fear becoming a tool of discontentment and comparison instead of inspiration. I fear to lose my authenticity to provide contents people would "like" and approve.

Social media is fantastic, especially during this time of the pandemic. It allows us to still connect, chat, and video call with little to no restrictions. However, social media is also a known cause of discontent. It becomes an instrument of envy that leads to comparison. Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church has mentioned that we start to compare our behind the scenes with other's highlight reel.

Our world has changed so much. Our society's new norm has encouraged a self-centered way, making living a God-centered life difficult. I hope to encourage you to find contentment and joy through Jesus.
