California Capitol Park

Today, we are exploring the California State Capitol Park! To my non-American friends and readers, the Capital of California is Sacramento. Each state (like California) has its own capital and a Capitol (a building where our governor and state officials conduct their meetings).

My grandma happens to live in Midtown Sacramento, which is about a couple of blocks from the Capitol but honestly, we don't go to the Capitol often. The last time I was in the museum was back in 2010 when Schwarzenegger was still the Governor!

This 40-acre park has plenty to offer and is considered one of the most beautiful parks in the nation showcasing different plants and trees from all over the world. Here are couple instragrammable spots!

Location: 1300 L St, Sacramento, CA 95814

Memorials & Groves - You can find several memorials such as the Veteran's Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Firefighters Memorial, and more!

World Peace Rose Garden - this Victorian-style garden features 600+ roses in over 100 varieties of colors, types, and fragrances.

Here's a throwback from back in June 2010! & look at that Camera Quality!

Cactus Garden

Don't forget to grab your free tree booklet located inside the Capitol. It is a great scavenger game for the kids - or adults. The booklet would tell you the name and location (map) of each tree.

What is your favorite about California Capitol Park?
