The Flower Fields in Carlsbad

Located in Carlsbad Ranch, The Flower Fields is a known tourist spot during spring in California. In the last 40 years, it has provided a remarkable view and blooming experience of a 50-acre farm of giant ranunculus flowers. While everything is quite different this year, one this is for sure, this field will leave you mesmerized. Definitely one of the prettiest flower fields in California!

Tips And Reminders

  • The season is usually March-May. Go during the first week of April. The whole field is usually in full bloom. This year, we visited on April 9th and it was gorgeous! However, this may change due to different variables such as the weather.

  • Weekdays are always recommended when traveling to touristy spots, but if you're like us who only travel during weekends, opt into arriving early! We were there at 9 am when they opened the doors! Fewer people = better photos!

  • Stay on the designated path and don't cross the yellow tape. It makes me sad to see some people break this simple (and obvious rule) for photos. We all want great photos, but let's respect the place and allow others to enjoy the beauty too.

  • Pets and Drones are not permitted

  • The field is by the Carlsbad Premium Outlet

  • Parking is free
