Places To Eat in Carmel by the Sea
Carmel by the sea is an absolute must-see for its scenic view, cozy atmosphere, shopping boutiques, and dining! I am used to a very fast-paced living with work and life so I absolutely enjoyed the slow-paced feel of this little town. Below are some of the best places to eat in Carmel by the sea!
The Forge Restaurant Bar
This spot has turned out to be one of our favorite places to eat in Carmel by the sea! They have a beautiful garden and an outdoor fireplace. I did prefer to dine outdoor than indoors. The food was pub fare but delicious and the cozy vibe is just a win. They also allowed our pups and even gave them a bowl of water for a drink.

What We Ordered: Calamari and Crab Cakes for Appetizers, Chicken with Veggies, Filet Mignon, Margarita Pizza, Lava Cake, and Bread Pudding. All the food was delicious and we absolutely enjoyed our time there. Cody had a perfectly cooked asparagus with his steak!
Porta Bella
This beautiful restaurant has delicious specialties inspired by France, Italy, and Spain. The restaurant itself offers a charming ambiance both indoor and outdoor.
Location: Ocean Avenue between Lincoln and Monte Verde

What We Ordered: We did not order any appetizers. I had the Classic Wild Mushroom Risotto which was amazing along with Riunite, a Moscato D’oro from Italy. It was a huge portion so I probably could have shared it with one of the boys. Cody had Linguine Ai Frutti Di Mare that he devoured. Hann had an Avocado Mushroom Swiss Burger and Hayleigh had buttered pasta. The boys did enjoy their Pecan Pie but I did not care or eat the rest of the Brulee — hence the ½ star above.
