Downtown Disney District During Phased Reopening

It's crazy how as a Disney Lover and Disneyland Annual Passholder, I have never shared anything Disney on this blog. Currently, Disneyland in Anaheim, California is still closed, however, Downtown Disney District (DTD) is currently open.

Parking is available at Simba's Parking Lot and is currently free of charge. As soon as you leave your car towards DTD, you will be greeted by Cast Members (CM) where you will be asked to form a line, 6-ft apart, to get a temperature scanned. After the temperature check, bags get checked before entering like usual. They truly do a great job of making sure everyone is social distancing. Mask is required to enter the district.

Precaution is being taken seriously at DTD. There are sanitation stations available in almost every corner. Each store has its own guidelines but all are limiting the number of customers inside their store. Pandora will not allow customers to roam and look around their store but will bring and show what you may need. They did a great job sanitizing each charm before and after each customer! Many stores will take your information (name & number) so you can be added on the waitlist. World of Disney has two hours wait to be on the waitlist to get in the store! Super crazy but hey, better safe than sorry?

Restaurants has limited indoor dining capacities. We did make a reservation way in advance - we usually do, so I am not 100% sure if they are taking walk ins. Tortilla Jos offer contactless menu and does not make guacamole in front of you at this time. I honestly like these contactless menu!

While we wish we had more time and easier access to the stores, we understand and are happy with the precaution they are taking to ensure the safety of everyone.

What are your thoughts on how Disney is handling this? Have you visited any Disney Parks recently?
