Bible Verses During Difficult Time
On June 19th, I received one of the most devastating news — my Nanay passed. It was two days before my birthday and before I head to San Francisco for my very first MPIWEC (Meeting Professionals International - World Education Conference). I have been at a loss for words since and honestly, I don’t know how to cope. I have never felt so alone. I have been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks — scared of the unknown.
Yesterday, on my way home from work, I dropped by the gas station and put in $35.02 for 5.228 gallons of gas which barely gave me half a tank. Just enough to get me home and go around town the following day. While finding my way back to the freeway, I got in my first car accident.
I feel defeated. I feel like I am failing but, while I go through this season of life and struggles, there is one thing I know for sure, that Jesus is God. I cling to the truth that He is faithful and that He is with me. It is so hard to understand why bad things and why we go through these challenges but I pray that these bible verses also give you comfort and a reminder that God is in good.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you. “ — Joshua 1:9
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
— Isaiah 41:10
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6-7
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
— John 16:33
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
— John 16:24
“Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7
I pray that whatever brought you to this post, that you will find peace, joy and comfort. Sending you all my love! <3
