A Day at Fresno Chaffee Zoo

The Fresno Chaffee Zoo is currently minimizing the number of guests, requiring face coverings, and has hand sanitation available throughout the park.

One thing we do consider when going to places is how well a place is taking precautions.

Honestly, we only go to the zoo once (maybe twice) a year since my parents usually take the kids to the zoo (they have been Fresno Chaffee Zoo Members for at least a couple of years now). However, being in the hotel industry, I met so many amazing people who have a passion and love for Fresno. I learned to appreciate the city, I disliked for almost 10 years. We are officially Fresno Chaffee Zoo Members!

Here are few highlights (and instagrammable spots) you can check out at the zoo during a pandemic!

Twiga Terrace

Baobab Tree

Tembo Trail & Elephant Falls

Zoorassic Park

A limited-time Fresno Chaffee Zoo exhibit featuring the dinosaurs that once roamed the planet. Zoorassic park ticket is not part of the admission but can be purchase for $5 (guests 12+) or $4 (guests 2-11 years old) at the ticket booth or at the exhibit entrance. Children 1 and under are free.

Sea Lion Cove

exhibits and provides a glimpse of the California Coast! I do not believe their show is available at this time.

There is still so much to see, however, some exhibits are currently closed, and some, we decided not to see because we didn't feel comfortable with it being a little crowded. Many are respectful and practicing social distancing so it is a relief. Have you visited the zoo lately? Any tips you can share? Comment below, we would appreciate your knowledge! :)
