Life Update
Goodness! What just happened? One moment it was April and in a blink of an eye, I am writing in August.
May was supposed to be laid back. I took three weeks' vacation to be home for Cody's knee surgery. I planned to have the shop to launch — but then, life said "psych". You know when you "thought" you had everything planned out and it just didn't work out cause Life is... let's be honest, can be brutal. Then, a week after Cody's surgery, our hot water line pipe burst, and had to stay at a hotel for almost 9 weeks! It was a crazy time for sure.

Weekend Trip to Bay Area due to a house flood that we were told gonna be fixed in a couple of days.

Had a weekend trip in Monterey | Cannery Row
Squeezed a quick date night at Hyatt Regency Monterey | Sea Root Restaurant
Dragged the family and the dogs to Bixby Bridge — TWICE.
Saw the beautiful McWay Falls
Enjoyed Carmel-by-the-Sea
August 2021
Went back to Santa Clara for back to school shopping
It was a very nice mental break to be disconnected from social media and be more present around the family. I feel like sometimes, we forget to be more intentional and present because of our fast-paced life here in the States.
We are finally back in our home, even though half of our stuff is still in the garage. Both Cody and I are a tad less stressed at work. Kids also went back to school. Penny got needier and Oreo still chews on everything. All the money I spent on puppy school went down the drain.
So now that the awkward I'm-back-post is out of the way, how are y'all summer doing?
